French Discussion

I noticed there were some people who took French here and I thought it would be cool if we could have a French coversation. Over on TA, I participated in a French coversation and I got soo much better at French. I've gotten 100 percents on everything ever since I started practicing French with other people. And if people wanted to try and learn (though it may be a bit difficult) they can join in, too! Just put the translation underneath.

Here's some common phrases you can learn:

Bonjour - Hello
Salut - Hi
Comment ca va? - How's it going?
Je suis content(e for girls) - I'm happy.
Tres bien - very good
Pas mal - not bad
Terrible - terrible
Vous avez lu le Twilight? - Have you read Twilight?
Oui - Yes
Non - No
C'etait incroyable! - It was incredible/amazing!
Vous avez du fromage? - Do you have cheese?

Haha, I know, very difficult! But it's pronounced differently. Tear - eee - bluh

oui une laungue de romance...j'ai decider que tout resonnent mieux en francais....par exemple dit (ce que j'etudie en science presentment) Light and Optical Systems puis dit La lumiere et les systemes optiques! Milles fois mieu!

YAY! It's like I'm a teacher... okay! First things first, I would like to teach you how to pronounce the alphabet correctly. French is really easy to read and say it correctly because nearly everything is the way it looks with the French letters. Alphabet:

A - ah
B - bay
C - say
D - day
E - eu
F - f
G - jay
H - ha
I - e
J - gay (soft on the g though)
K - kay
L - l
M - m
N - n
O - oh
P - pay
Q - coo
R - air
S - s
T - tay
U - eu (this one's a bit difficult. Make your mouth really tight though)
V - vay
W - dou - bluh - vay
X - eex
Y - I kind of forget but you don't see it all that often in words.
Z - I forget this one, too, but you don't see this one in words, either.

Okay, later, I'll put up some more phrases! How exciting!
