I have a feeling that we'll hear more from them in BD. I definetly want to hear more about their history. Its amazing how powerful they are!

Heidi has violet eyes because she put blue contacts I think. Blue + Red = Violet!

Yeah, what Twilight said, with that. I'm not sure about the murky eyes. But I suppose that it must stay a mystery for Breaking Dawn, anyways.

^^ true but what vampire puts in contacts??? I wear contacts and if you wear them for more than 3 weeks they turn scratchy and you cant see out of them, and then Heidi would have to go to an optromotist and get contacts, and then the doctor would notice that her eyes are red naturally, and then that would expose the volturi and- *starts droning off about contacts*

I think that they should keep Gianna. She's loyal as a human, and everything only intensifies after you become a vampire.

I LOVE the Volturi except for the killing people part and the screams! I still like them apart from that VERY big factor!

I can understand the killing ever since I read the personal corrispodances. True it isn't very humane, but it's like me saying that I'm not going to eat chocolate because it'll make me gain weight when my metabolism slows down. It's a sacrifice, I guess, but I'll live Wink

After reading Breaking Dawn, we get to find out more about the history of the Volturi.

The Volturi sat still on their thrones for a very long time; it was a sign of their power. They didn't notice that they began to change - almost to petrify. That's why their skin and the color of their eyes are different.

Stephenie told us that Aro was the one to kill Dydime, Marcus's wife and his sister.

Marcus never found out that Aro was responsible for Didyme's death. He became an empty man. Aro used Chelsea's gift to keep Marcus loyal to the Volturi, though not even Chelsea's gift could make Marcus show any enthusiasm for it.

I think this was ruthless, sick and so mean. But somehow I'd have expected this from Aro, it fits his personality. I wasn't surprised that his sister had to die that way. I wonder if Aro ever felt guilty about what he had done.

I understand why you might think that, though I don't agree completely. He didn't do it because he was ruthless, sick and mean. He is powerthirsty, and he did it to become a step closer to the thing that he desires most in the world.
