Let's try to decipher Breaking Dawn through the different meanings that the name could translate into.
Twilight - Bella meets Edward, she finds out that he's a vampire, her whole life is turned upside down. Twilight - halfway between night and day. Maybe this symbolises that Bella has discovered two worlds, and now her life is split between the two?
New Moon - Edward leaves. Bella's life comes crashing down. She finds a new friend, Jacob, who helps make her whole again. A new moon is...a new moon. When the old moon leaves, and a new one arrives. Maybe this signifies Jacobs new presence in her life? Her old moon has left, so now she has a new moon?
Eclipse - Bella has to chose between Edward and Jacob. Vampire or Werewolf. Eclipse - I suppose that we're talking about a solar eclipse here, so when the moon covers up the sun. The odds fall in Edwards favor. He's too wonderful, and blocks out Bella's sun.
Midnight Sun - This hasn't come out yet, but we all know what happens. The sun shining through midnight, casting a glow on Edwards life.
Theory for Breaking Dawn - Breaking Dawn, the start of a new day. It may not come as a surprise, but I think that in this book, Bella will get married, become a vampire. What I'm not sure about is if this is what the whole book will be about, or just the ending, or even maybe the beginning...
What theories do you guys have? |

| Wow, all of this is in a name? That's intense.
Now, I have this un-ogranized theory, but at least it has something to do with the topic, LADIES! o_O
Twilight=Well, erm, vampires come out at night, and Twilight is the beginning of night, right? heh.
New Moon=The obvious legend (more appropriately myth) about the werewolves coming out with the full moon. I know it says NEW moon, but still.
Breaking Dawn-a-=Well, in myth, its the sunlight that kills Vampires, right? I hope I'm wrong, but Ed might die in this one.
Breaking Dawn-b-=Numerous times, Bella describes Jacob as her sun. Since dawn is when the sun shows up, either Jacob will take over the world, or the dawn will break. When i say the dawn will break, I mean that Jacob will die. Frankly, I wouldn't mind... |

| Lol, sorry Twilight!!!
Okay, so I think that Breaking Dawn has to do with Bella's new life. Like how it's 'breaking'...er...this isn't coming out right. Just look at the first post and thats what I agree with!!! |

| Hmmm...Well, this'll probably make no sense but...
Twilight- Twilight is the beginning of the night, and it's the beginning of Bella's life with Edward. It's the end of her old life, and the beginning of a new one.
New Moon- The new moon is the blackest night, and it's the blackest period in Bella's life.
Eclipse- The moon blocks the sun in an eclipse, and Bella chooses Edward over Jake.
Breaking Dawn- Hmmm...Maybe either Bella becomes a vampire, the beginning of a new life, or she ends up with Jake, her "personal sun". |

| To me, it symbolizes the fact that it's a new chapter in Bella's life and that it will over-take her old life.
Erm, but that has nothing to do with a 'breaking dawn'.
Oh crap, I need to rethink my symbolism. _________________

| It's okay, Chadley! The title is kind of confusing. It has SO MANY possible outcomes! _________________ "Loving you is not a problem, it's trying to stop." "And, I can't live, with or without you." "Memories are the best souvenirs." "Why am I afraid to lose you when you're not even mine..." "I don't miss you and you alone; I miss you and me together." "I gave my blood to keep your roses red." |

| Haha, okay, so I think that Breaking Dawn symbolizes the 'breaking' of Bella's life. Like, think of it like an egg (wow, I'm sad). The egg breaks and new life (in the form of a chick) comes out. Kinda like when Bella comes out of the egg, she'll be a vampire. Kinda like she was suppost to be one all along...
Wow. Never ask me for a metaphor. |
